Extended Course
is 2 - 6 hour days
Fee is $300.00 per person / $150.00 deposit required
A firearm is not required for the course. Course does not require live
fire.

Basic Course is 4 hours[the
basic course can only be attended if the person has a current, verified
Colorado or Colorado recognized Hunters Safety Card. This
information is entered into the FSP system by CPW when the application
is submitted]
Fee is $125.00 per person / $62.50 deposit required

Process-These steps must be done in order listed.

to obtain a 3rd party background check through MyTruSeal [fee is
$30.00] prior to accessing the El Paso County Sherrif's website
3. Click
Here to access the El Paso County Sheriff's Website to apply for
the
Eligibility Card. You will need to provide a government-issued photo ID
and a third party name based national and Colorado public criminal
history background check completed within 90 days of submitting your
application. See 2 above.
4. Once the Eligibilty Card is issured, a CPW verified
instructor can be contacted to enroll in an applicable course.
